Following on from my dry run for the Venus transit (what a disappointment that turned out to be!), here’s the actual photo I took during that dry run. The investment in solar filter film, cardboard, sticky tape and glue, whilst not used for the transit, did give a nice result. This shows a bit of sunspot activity, bottom left and top right – which was a pleasant surprise to see. Hopefully the kit will get used again in the future.
